Brad Marchand was named to the 2017 NHL First All-Star Team after collecting 39 goals this past season.

It's no question that Brad Marchand was one of, if not the best, left-wingers in the NHL for the 2016-17 season. He scored 39 goals and had 85 points through 80 games this season.

After a season that made him one of the best, Marchand was named to the 2017 NHL First All-Star Team, which surely backs up the above statement.

He had 720 points in the voting with 132 first-place votes. His 720 points were 394 more than Artemi Panarin, who came in second place. Alex Ovechkin finished third in voting and Marchand had the most points among wingers and second among forwards.

Marchand's 39 goals were tied for fourth-most in the league with Vladimir Tarasenko. He also had 27 even-strength goals, which were the sixth-most in the league.
