Big Baby doesn’t know his role with Orlando Magic (either)

Celtics fans continue to get a chuckle every time a player questions there role with the team. It’s hard not to when Glen Davis made such a big deal about it, at the start of the 2010-11 season. Seems the Big Baby continues with his role-questioning in Orlando. After the Magic’s hard loss in Boston on Monday, Big Baby’s role was not all Glen was questioning…

From NESN:

In going to Orlando in a sign-and-trade for Brandon Bass, Davis looked not only to increase his salary, but to increase his playing time and his chances at becoming a starting player as well. So far this season, things have not worked out as planned. His playing time, field goal percentage and points per game have all taken a significant drop from his last year in Boston, and due to the strong start by fellow Magic power forward Ryan Anderson, Davis has yet to start a game for Orlando this season.

After shooting a mere 2-for-9 from the field Monday against his former teammates, Big Baby sounded a little depressed when talking about his new role in Orlando, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

When asked if Orlando was a better fit for him than Boston, Davis responded, “I don’t know, I don’t know yet. I’m in the same situation I was here: coming off the bench.”

I continually try to remember the many positives Davis provided, as a member of the Celtics for four seasons. However, Davis’ remarks on Monday had me frustrated for Magic fans.
