Since I am supposed to know something about college basketball, or at least talk like I do, here is my pre-season “Dirty Dozen” as the season quickly approaches. I am sure that this list of mine will change and I am pretty confident the Dookies on CLNS will say my love for the Tar Heels influenced the rankings (a little or a lot), but in the end, the great thing about rankings in college basketball is that they do not mean a damn thing, since the trophy is hoisted when a team wins their six games in a row and for no other reasons. However having said that, let’s also remember that sometimes the national champions are not always the best team in college basketball, cause the March Madness is about talent, but also about a good draw and some luck! But enough of this let’s get this list going, shall we…
Teams (last ranking)
- North Carolina (#7)
- Kentucky (#13)
- Ohio State (#1)
- Syracuse (#12)
- Connecticut (#9)
- Florida (#15)
- Vanderbilt (NR)
- Duke (#3)
- Louisville (#10)
- Pittsburgh (#4)
- Baylor (NR)
- Memphis (NR)
Four teams from the Big East, which next year could be four from the ACC, as Syracuse and Pittsburgh make the move between conferences, show that the practically defunct football conference still is as strong as ever in basketball. The Atlantic Coast Conference does have two in my (and most everyone’s) Top 10, but the sad part of that equation for this conference is that the other ten squads are not that good and not showing up in anyone’s Top 25. The ACC is once again top heavy and that might hurt many of the programs in the conference when Selection Sunday comes around. My theory this season is this: the ones and the twos should not sing the blues, meaning that the top eight teams this year all have a great shot at cutting down the nets when its all said and done. I do believe it’s going to be primarly a two way battle between Carolina and Kentucky, but as I said before, luck, the draw you get and other things always factor in when going for six in a rown in March/April.

Unquestionably imagine that that you said. Your favorite justification seemed to be at the internet the easiest factor to be mindful of. I say to you, I definitely get annoyed while people consider concerns that they plainly don’t know about. You controlled to hit the nail upon the highest and defined out the entire thing with no need side effect , other folks can take a signal. Will probably be back to get more. Thanks
